Jan Duursema's talents are wasted on this book. Everything here looks Avatarian. She's got a good handle on that going back to her Star Wars days (where everything looked Star Warsian). Here, without the benefit of 3-D and an IMAX screen, this very rich man's Dances With Wolves in Space holds almost no water to speak of, and certainly dances with no wolves.


If you're one of the people who saw Avatar 200 times and want to live on Pandora, all apologies, but this book is for you and no one else.
