BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

Still going strong, Detective has Greg Rucka remembering its roots, sort of, as he throws us back a few years. The story involves “Candy” Kane, who wants to do something with her life, but her best-laid plans fail…until a man in a bat suit comes along, that is. The art is straight out of Year 1, and Dave Stewart colors wonders here, especially with the touches of red. The back-up story, featuring The Question, fits the theme, and it’s nice to see some tense storywriting without talk-talk-talk fouling it up. Recommended reading.
