The title that Donny Cates took over that wasn't Thanos kind of died on the vine a bit. It's like he never got to fully wash the Secret Empire smell out of the carpet of 177 Bleeker Street. It's unfortunate that the final issue of the series is easily his best.
The book does a lot of heavy lifting, moving the Not Doc. of the post Secret Wars reboot towards the cinematic Strange, taking a surprisingly whimsical yet dark Spider-Man along for the ride.
It was an excellent final wrap-up, respecting what came before it while setting up the future.
Highly recommended for anybody interested in the new run that debuts in June, anybody that appreciates grey temples, and ghost dogs that in no way involve samurai.
