Exorcism At 1600 Penn.! Its the exciting mix of politics and religion that absolutely 38% of people are clamoring for! Our nation's first female President is called weak and satanic by her detractors, in spite of being a devout Catholic. Watch as her life devolves into a crisis of faith as her daughter is seemingly possessed by something closer to the devil than herself.
The script by Hannah Rose May is pretty straightforward for fans of demons getting inside of people. The art by Vanesa Del Ray, less so. I was pretty sure I hated it. Rough, sketchy, inconsistent in its inconsistency, it grew on me over the course of this oversized issue. Think Ted McKeever, with less Ted and more McKeever.
The problem, if it is indeed a problem, is we're too early in this story to be able to guess if there will be consistency in the THEOLOGY presented, and that's the crux of any good religious horror story. So, recommended, lightly, with the chance of something better coming.
