Unfortunately, her meticulous plans - which include the perfect outfit, soundtrack, and method - are all ruined when the beautiful knife she buys off a webstore turns out to be charmed with a protection spell. Now, Ash has to track down the witch who turned her clocking out attempt into the worst gift imaginable: immortality. A beautifully executed representation of teen angst, co-written by Fall Out Boy’s very own Pete Wentz! Dying Inside follows Ash as she monologues about her tragic teenage life. Fed up with suffering through it all, she decides to go out with a bang just like her hero (Elliott Smith). Little does she know, the knife she bought to do the deed holds a magical secret. Lisa Sterle’s art is wonderful, and perfectly captures the monotone pallet of depression. A deep look into the disillusionment of youth, with a mystical twist. I’m very excited to see where Ash’s mis-adventures lead.
