From IDW Publishing and Boom! Studios, two titanic powers collide in a cross-company collaboration event you never expected . . . but makes complete sense! When Rita Repulsa uses an ancient artifact to transport herself to a universe without Power Rangers, she finds herself on a world with aliens, kaiju, and . . . Godzilla! Hoping to annihilate this new foe, Rita hurls her own terrible creatures into battle. But she never expects that the Rangers have followed her to this alternate reality! Now, the Dinozords themselves are going head-to-head with the King of the Monsters! Written by superstar scribe Cullen Bunn (Godzilla: Cataclysm) and illustrated by artist extraordinaire Freddie Williams II (Batman/TMNT)!

Reviews

If you know me even a little bit, you know that I was going to review this book. I may not be the biggest Power Rangers fan but with my history with the “guys in rubber suits beating the crap out of each other” genre, I can respect the shows. Yet in one of my blog entries recently, I warned everyone about this book. I was so excited that it was coming out and now that it is out, it did not disappoint. Remember the two franchises we are dealing with. If you are looking for great literature, go read Maus. This book starts out with action off the bat, mixing of facets of both Godzilla and Power Rangers canon fluidly, not forced at all. Cullen Bunn wrote a book that is fun for both fans new and old and Freddie Williams II’s art just works for the book with nice solid fight scenes. I am a total mark for this kind of book but if you are just looking for some good ole’ fashion comic book fun please at least give this book a look. The only reason I give this one only 9 Grahams is for the lack of Gorosaurus content.
