Harley Quinn #0 (2013) has been added to your cart.
At the ripe age of eleven, Harley Quinn was my introduction to superhero comics. The princess clown of crime has a special place in my heart, and in recent years she’s acquired many, many fans, all with varying levels of comic book knowledge. This introductory issue, however, catered exclusively to the true blue comic book nerds. Harley travels through different scenarios in different art styles, making wisecracks about the artists and DC higher-ups as she goes along. Despite the “unfinished” panels by Adam Hughes (Harley does not let this joke opportunity escape) every artist took their time with their pages, and the result is a beautiful book with laugh out loud gags. Overall, I’m glad they took the time to humor the people who faithfully follow the artists instead of doing a throwaway story for the people who saw her in Arkham City and thought she was hot. We’ll see what the actual first issue brings, but this issue was a solid start for Gotham’s Sweetheart.
