Infamous Iron Man #4 has been added to your cart.
This feels very much like the Bendis book he's most invested in on his current plate. Take that, Jessica Jones. Actually, that's more of an indictment of the last year's output from him. Without re litigating that disappointing body of work, Infamous Iron Man features everything there is to love about good to great Bendis writing. Staccato, real world speech patterns, interesting dialogue choices, a story very much apart of something larger, and a feeling of momentum in that arc. Combine those with Alex Maleev's wonderful art, and you know this is a book worth reading. Specifically, this is Victor's return to Latveria. He's mad. He's disappointed. He's probably angered the person he left in charge who was really looking forward to being as petty as possible.
...but if we were re-litigating the last year, it really was the worst his GOTG has been, CWII was a giant disappointment, Jessica Jones started wayyy soft when read after Alias, Spider-Man was consistently the weakest any of the 'Ultimate' spider books has ever had for a stretch run, and the Iron titles worked every other issue at best, with only two real stand outs. Thanks, Obama. I resolve to be less of a Bendis apologist this year.
