Invincible Iron Man #1 (2016) has been added to your cart.
There is something about working with Bendis!(tm) that brings out the best in comic artists. Add Stefano Caselli to the list (which already includes Sara Pichelli, David Marquez, David LaFuente, Alex Maleev, and even Mark Bagley. His art looks so good on the Chicago flashbacks in the book that I'd really just prefer this as a title about a smart girl in a bad neighborhood. The sillier bits (which work, but are sillier) all happen in the present, and involve a lesser mutant enemy (Grr. Argh.) named Animax.
If you enjoyed Bendis' work on the other Iron Books, you'll enjoy this. If you enjoyed Riri's appearances in Invincible Iron Man, you'll enjoy this. If you're frustrated that the scenes are best in Bendis books happen between superhero business, or even IN SPITE of superhero business, you probably won't like this.
...but it is maybe a little different. It is maybe a little relevant. It is maybe something to expand the audience for comics. So maybe, even if you think you won't like it, maybe you might want to give it a shot.
