BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

We are down to the wire on the One World, Under Gog story by Geoff Johns and Alex Ross. The buildup has been smart and tense, with last week’s issue of The Kingdom (a one-shot special) an excellent final round before the beginning of the conclusion in this issue. I’ve enjoyed this story from the start, since it’s gritty, it's painful (how many suspect some of the health fixes from Gog will end badly?), and thought-provoking, challenging us on our basic mistrust of getting something from nothing (in this case, Gog promising to heal the world…and for what?). This particular issue is all confrontation, and the aftermath. I will say I felt a small letdown, since the buildup was so tense, but its not over, and its worth seeing it all of the way…the next issue will be a big one.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
