REVIEW by Brian Fisher
This ain't your grandpa's Wolverine. Well, actually it is, but it sure isn't written like it is. Brian K. Vaughan takes Wolvie back to his days fighting for the Canadian armed forces (Canada has one of those?) during WWII. He loves, he lives, he gets hit with a nuclear bomb. All in a day's work for Wolvie, but this story is infused with a pathos that hasn't been addressed in a Wolverine story before. All thanks to Mr. Vaughan, who's actually made me care about what happens to Wolverine... and I hate Wolverine.
