I... who is this meant for? I mean, I know there's a new Transformers film coming out and all, but... this? If Marvel or IDW was so interested in making a comic for New Avengers or Transformers fans, why hack it out with work by Stuart Moore and Tyler Kirkham? It's embarrassing as a retailer to have such a potential hit book be torpedoed by rushed, unfinished art (count the number of visible pupils! Can YOU get more than 12?) and the clunkiest writing this side of the back of an action figure package("THE ENGINES OF WAR. A NECESSARY EVIL, SOMETIMES. BUT A DARK REFLECTION OF OUR BETTER SELVES. ONCE THOSE ENGINES ARE SET IN MOTION... THEY CAN BE VERY HARD TO STOP."). Do I need to point out the following? New Avengers is ONE OF MARVEL'S BIGGEST TITLES. Transformers is launching THE BIGGEST FILM OF THE SUMMER. Do not let 4th string guys work on a book combining the two properties unless you plan on calling it "New Avengers/Transformers: Quest For The Quick Buck". How a company gets it so right with Dark Tower and Halo but shovels this onto the shelves is beyond me. If you are a New Avengers or Transformer fan who simply must own any comic with those words on the cover, congratulations. You deserve this comic. 2 Grahams
