I have always been a fan of the second string and tertiary characters. So I was delighted to see an issue focusing on everyone's favorite dirty boy, Pig-Pen! His ability to take the curl out of Freda's naturally curly hair and his classic line about being treated with more respect as he may be covered in the ancient soils of the past, always made him one of my favorites. And in an absolutely charming story with Peppermint Patty, I do have a new respect for the "Pen"! A definite read for both fans and non fans alike.
