BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS
For long term Star Wars fans, this series fleshes out areas of the mythos that were summarized in the movies, like how Anakin went from point A (a Jedi Knight) to point B (the Evil Emperor’s main enforcer). This issue has nary a Clone soldier in it, however, though it does feature Anakin, but an Anakin practicing deceit rather than force. The story tracks Anakin and Obi-Wan and others to a slave auction, where they hope to free some slaves. The idea is good, but it jumps poorly in parts, like watching a movie that occasionally skips frames of action. There are areas that evoke the Anakin’s pain as a freed slave, but those are left largely undeveloped. Overall, a decent story with fine art, it’ll be interesting to see how the story unfolds.
