"BANNER OF WAR" PART TWO! The 60th Anniversary celebration - and Thor and Hulk's epic rivalry - continues in the second installment of the crossover between the HULK and THOR series! Banner's newfound control of his rage is prolonging this fight more than Thor expected, and with Banner holding his own, Thor must get creative. Reviews

Celebrate the 60th anniversary of Thor with a book that has Thor in it on four pages of the main story. Revel in learning what happened to bring the Hulk to his current Donny-brook. This issue better than the Alpha, but what is that really saying?

Its saying that Odin as a hammer is the best thing in the book, that Donny Cates nearly writes a funny Iron Man, that Martin Coccolo is neither Nic Klein nor Ryan Ottley, and that Gary Frank should play in the Marvel cover sandbox more often.

Filling out this anniversary issue is a new story by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz. It also doesn't feature Thor. This is the best Frenz has looked since his reappearance though, and the Brett Breeding inks really give this story a feel that fits in their original run. Its good. Its just not Thor.

Lastly there's an adaptation of an original Norse myth, or so the credits say. As the only story featuring Thor, it has an advantage over the other two. As something worth reading, less so.
