BONUS REVIEW by RICK BERG

By the vaulted ceilings of Valhalla, Thor is in Thor for more than 2 pages and does something useful again! He battles a Doombot, has some great trash talk with Doom, smashes some robot zombie Asgardians and then gets beat down by the totally unsurprising “guest” villain. Yet not all is lost! For once Mr. Tan’s overworked, messy and dark pencils help to get the point across rather than distract you with things like why no one has feet. This is a very violent and menacing story full of horrors and butchery most foul. As such this is the coolest and most badass Dr. Doom we have seen in a very long time. I give Kieron Gillen credit for taking the comic into new uncharted territory by applying some wickedly cool Frankenstein-esque tones but I saw the final reveal coming when JMS was still on the book. Next issue is set up to (fingers crossed) be awesome.

I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams
