Unfortunately what should be a cool mini-series started out very poorly. While I wasn’t fully expecting five issues of Ryder blowing away Skrulls on every panel I would have liked to see a little bit more carnage than what was given. The dialogue was positively terrible and the story was boring at best. The twist ending was really predictable, but there weren’t a lot of directions they could steer this series anyhow so I can’t be too harsh. The art was passable and that’s about all this #1 has going for it.
