The last (and best) of Dark Horse's Alien Day offerings (4-26...um...some sort of Cochella joke about we take acid for blood? Work with me here...I'm not in the Flaming Lips) is Dead Orbit. Its written and drawn by the singular talent that is James Stokoe. A horrifying mish mash of Alien and Akira, Stokoe's unique visual style runs the detail of Geoff Darrow through an Evangelion filter to come up with something wholly original. If you've seen his recent work on Moon Knight, you'll already know he's got a good taste for space based work. If you've seen the Alien films, then you'll know when someone gives you something new and horrific to recoil from. Boy oh boy does this book have a moment like that. I promise you'll know it when you see it.
Read it with the Buzzcocks on. In punk space, no one can hear you steam.
