Spider-Man has been pushed harder than he has in a very long time and in ways he has never been before.
How far can he be pushed before he breaks?
Who he has to face this issue is going to answer that very clearly as we are one issue from AMAZING SPIDER-MAN LGY #850!

Like many people I have found AMAZING SPIDER-MAN to be an unreadable train wreck of late. Had HIGH HOPES for this title when SPENCER & OTTLEY started only to be repeatedly disappointed - but two things drew me back to the book with this issue. CLASSIC SPIDER-MAN artist MARK BAGLEY & JOHN DELL. They could have just babbled nonsense for 22 pages and I probably still would have enjoyed it. Bagley, surprisingly, is still challenging himself as an artist and I was surprised to find all kinds of angles and shots that he HASN'T ALREADY USED ON SPIDER-MAN, which is no small task when you've drawn as many issues as this guy. Dell delivers crisp, clean inks as always and is one of this industries unsung heroes. He raises the game on any penciller he works with. Story was perfectly serviceable and I was able to jump in even though I'd given up on the past 2 issues. For fans of Bagley/Dell - nice looking Amazing/Ultimate Spider-Man comics - you've got a winner here.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
