As the star-spangled splendor struggles to find a balance between her personal and superhero lives, a hunt for a missing fiancée unexpectedly leads American Dream into a battle with an unstoppable new super-foe and terrifyingly new kind of terrorist.
BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS
I’m not a fan of stories taking place in alternate futures (a certain X-men 2-parter, with Byrne, being a notable exception), but Defalco skips the “What happened, where are they now” stuff; he creates original villains, with original heroes. Standard story, but it’s Defalco’s penchant for real-world problems (remember Parker in the early days?) that’s always his forte. This is more interesting when she isn’t fighting. Pleasurable art by Todd Nauck, too.
