Reviews

I’ve written this review 4 or 5 times already.

Sometimes it is extremely hard not to be myself.

This is the 2nd direct sequel to Gotham by Gaslight, a game changing book from 1989.
It launched Mike Mignola from just that cool cover guy to an entire line of DC Elseworlds and Earth X like books from Marvel trying to be like Mike.
You would not have Dark Knights of Vampires vs Godzilla vs your Ultimate 8th grade math teacher without it paving the way that quality creators can create quality work outside the barriers of continuity and not be goofy.

It was not a tale of red and purple Batman on fake planet fighting alien robots.

It was not old man Bruce deciding after 50 years he hated his best friend cause reasons.

It was the detective vs Jack the Ripper.

It simply was, perfect.

2 years later Master of the Future tried but by then was part of a glut of Batman/ Superman What ifs.

It simply was, another Batman out of continuity tale.

Now we have the Kryptonian Age.

And it is just what I needed.

It simply, reads like a comic from 25 years ago.

And I love it.

I have read it twice now. Once as a PDF (barf) and now in print.

Please try it out, I think you will like it.
