Batman Superman #4 (2019)

Batman Superman #4 (2019)

$3.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT

Even from prison, the Batman Who Laughs is staying two steps ahead of the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel. His plan to infect heroes and turn them into the Dark Multiverse versions of themselves is starting to build steam, with Shazam and others already succumbing to his evil toxin. Batman and Superman are racing the clock to prevent the other three members of the Secret Six from being poisoned, but they realize they are too late when those three come looking for them instead-one of whom is a lot closer to Superman than expected and itching for a fight!
Date Available: 11/27/2019
BONUS REVIEW by Jake Pierce

Finally we see all six of the infected heroes and why exactly the Batman who Laughs decided to infect them. It's a very action packed issue all taking place in the fortress of solitude, and oddly enough seeing the darker versions of some of the 6 does make me wish we could see Blue Beetle and Donna Troy more often in major storylines. David Marquez kills it with the art here as he has since the start of the series. My only complaint is the dialogue from Hawkman heavily references what's been going on in his solo series in a way that seems very forced. Overall still very excited to see where this story goes.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
