(W) Nathan Edmondson

'The Finely Woven Thread' You've seen Black Widow as an Avenger and even an Agent of Shield. But on her own time she searches for atonement for her past as a KGB assassin-in ways of which those teams just wouldn't approve. From the darkest corners of the Marvel Universe, Nathan Edmonson (Who is Jake Ellis?) and Phil Noto (Thunderbolts, X-23) bring you a new ongoing series as gorgeous and mysterious as Nastasha Romanov herself!

BONUS REVIEW by Chris Schaefer

Now I am a HUGE Black Widow fan but I always worry when she is given a solo title. After the initial idea is pulled off, it seems like she's left on her own and gets cancelled. So I was not sure how this newest volume would be. The good news is that this volume is off to a good start. Picking up on the idea that she is wanting to atone for her previous bad girl antics that was mentioned in the Avengers movie, the plot revolves this premise which is solid. And I have to admit that although I did not want to like Noto's artwork, it actually works very well. A solid premise with appropriate art sounds like a great starting point. Let's hope Marvel is willing to stick with it for a while.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
