VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Garth Ennis
(A) Russell Braun
(CA) Darick Robertson
Twelve years after the events of The Boys, Hughie finds himself back home in Scotland where he intends to finally marry Annie in the company of friends and family. But the sudden appearance of a peculiar document sends our hero into a tailspin and threatens to bring the events of his nightmarish past crashing down on him in the worst possible way. There was one story about The Boys that Hughie never knew. Now, whether he likes it or not, he's going to.

BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Garth Ennis has some stuff on his mind.

With the success of 'The Boys' on a certain streaming platform, Dynamite wanted more. More of a finite story can be tricky after its done, right? Rather than flashing back to an UNTOLD TALE OF THE BOYS!, what we get is Butcher's past catching up w/ Wee Hughie in the middle of COVID and a little bit more. Russ Braun continues his quality "Darrick is gone right now, please leave a message at the beep" artwork, but be warned- there is something to offend just about anyone of any position about anything in the first 10 pages. Not all at the same time mind you, but if you're looking to get a "Aha! Garth Ennis agrees with ME!" feeling of self-satisfaction, you're bound to lose that high one or two panels later. It's refreshing.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
