In the first Act of Shakepeare’s Hamlet, Polonius preps his son for departure abroad by making a speech which culminates in the well known quote: “This above all: to thine own self be true…”. In DR #2, Matt tries as hard as he possibly can to distance himself from daredeviling, only to end up right in the middle of danger because he can’t turn his back on the safety and well being of other people. Fortunately for us, this makes for entertaining reading. The story moves along at a much faster and more intense clip than #1 did, and the art again serves the story rather than vice versa *coughShadowlandcough*. If you are looking for a momentary escape from the harsh realities of life that doesn’t involve 7 issues, 15 miniseries, 12 one-shots and 6 tie-ins, this is the way to go. Just remember though, no matter how you escape, “this above all…
