VADER DOWN: THE CONCLUSION! Luke Skywalker--captured by the Empire! Darth Vader--beset by enemies on all sides! The finale of the biggest Marvel Star Wars story yet! Rated T
Date Available: 01/13/2016
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Last issue ended with every one of our heroes in dire straits. Leia must make a decision whether revenge at any cost is something she can live with. Her decision will determine what kind of leader she's going to be. Chewie and Han find help from someone who's almost always surprising in how resourceful they can be. Luke is passed back and forth in the custody of just about everyone in the book. Dr. Aphra is in front of people who finally make her regret talking so much.

What about Vader though...he's the reason we're here, right? I hope its not giving too much away when I tell you next issue will not be changing the book's title to Commander Korbin. In his own words, Vader has killed thousands of troops on both sides on this mission to recover his son. That fact might make you wonder about his action, or possibly lack there of, at the end of the issue. I think what he does must be a choice, because anything else would be weakness, and there is no weakness in Darth Vader, right?

Or maybe we just define weakness in the way it best suits our own purposes. (What do you say to that Kylo Ren, you big jerk?) The first Star Wars crossover, event, epic, whatever you want to call it concludes as THE best example of how to do this type of story. Please please please let the higher ups at Marvel realize this the next time we get an 'Axis', 'Original Sin', 'Siege', or 'AVX'.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
