Detective Comics #953 has been added to your cart.
Cassandra Cain has got some issues. Her dad made her into death with four limbs. Her mom decided previously she wasn't worth even that attention. Given a new home by Bruceman, I mean Bat Wayne, she quickly learned that her best existence would be one tempered with understanding, moderation, generally a lack of death. It comes as a bit ironic that she'll reject that training while fighting her surrogate father, but can't bring herself to take the gloves off against her actual mother. Both are fights worth reading, worth having, and carry consequences moving forward. I suspect we just need a Damion/Cassandra fight now to determine who should carry on the bat mantle. Given that Alfred fights like a Demon and loses, we might actually be closer to that than not by the time this issue ends.
It needs to be said that this is not the strongest art team 'Detective' has had, and there are moments that feel unfinished. I think I'd have waited an extra week for this to look as good (most of) the rest of this series.
