I love it when a writer hits the proverbial nail on the head! Robbie Morrison knocks part 1 right out of the park. While the Doctor is off playing with Las Vegas gangsters, Clara is teaming up with the BBC version of the Rat Pack! Looking, sounding, and acting like their real life counterparts. Clara fits right in and finally this version of the Doctor's personality stays stable though the whole story. Something the first season of the tv series hasn't been able to master.
