Betsy Braddock is Captain Britain, but a citizen of Krakoa. With Rogue's condition a mystery, the team heads to the one place that has always been the seat of Excalibur's power - the Lighthouse. Rated T+

Excalibur was the X title that I was most hyped for coming into Dawn of X but I'll admit issue 1 left me wanting a bit. Issue 2, however, is an entirely different beast. It's clear issue 1 was more of a prelude, a set-up for the story Howard and To are trying to tell and the payoff of that story has already started friends. We're gearing up for some real X-Men meets D&D style action in the next issue and beyond and right here right now we're getting "Good Guy" Apocalypse playing a very fun ally/foil for our heroes. Honestly as excited as I am to see the All New Captain Britain and Gambit in Avalon, it's what Apocalypse will be doing with Rogue back on the home field that has me interested. Definitely pick this one up even if you didn't love issue 1. Any title that came out after Marauders debut would've been a tough act to follow.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
