The great thing about FF2099 (aside from the Rick Leonardi art in the first issue) was that it was THE Fantastic Four, in the future, which seemed like a thing that could happen.
They are nowhere to be seen in this issue, bringing about concern that the creators did not understand what was neat about the original.
Then it takes a turn, and the last 4 pages are great in a 'LOOK AT THE HORROR OF THE TALES OF THE DARK MULTIVERSE' sort of way. I give the book a 5, and those last 4 pages an 8.
