REVIEW by Brian Fisher
This book, right here is why I read comics. No, you're not experiencing deja vu, it's merely the fact that both DC and Marvel released two of their greatest titles on the same day. This is the end of an era (and "era" is appropriate, seeing as how it took four years to go through 25 issues of this series) as Joss Whedon and John Cassaday depart AXM for greener pastures. Despite whatever grudge my predecessor on these reviews may have had against Whedon, I still think his dialogue rings true and hits all the right keys when it comes to drama, action, suspense and humor. A few loose plot threads and contrivances aside this was a fantastic issue and a fitting conclusion to what has been one of the greatest X-Men series ever. And don't drop it from your pull lists yet. Warren Ellis and Simone Bianchi pick up the reins next issue, and you don't want to miss that!
