Hal Jordan's final initiation test to join the Blackstars? Kill Adam Strange! When planet after planet has fallen to the Blackstars-and these monsters are at Rann's gate-does the galaxy have any hope to survive?

BONUS REVIEW by "Doc" Schaefer

Teaming up with his former back-up feature star, having Green Lantern and Adam Strange is as natural as apple pie and vanilla ice cream. The sad part is that the DC universe is still filled with outer space cults and quasi-religious figures. Even under the talent hands of Grant Morrison, these types of stories leave me felling uneasy. Just like in real life the fine line between one person's beliefs and ideals and popular opinion and free will is somewhere none of us want to be. And even though there can be no real defeat of Controller Mu, I was happy that Morrison keeps to the traditional Adam Strange. Jet-packs, laser guns, and a Zeta beam that wears off at the end of the story. And I must admit that Liam Sharp's Alanna is by far one of the best drawn versions I have seen in a while. Still worth reading but you may need to hit you local comic shop for some prior issues to get caught up.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
