Donny Cates & Ryan Ottlely sounds like a winning team. But all the promotional material I saw kept showing the HULK wearing some kind of armor. This seemed to make as much sense as giving Aquaman a snorkel. So combined with what seemed like a lame ass idea (armor for Hulk) and the fact that Ryan Ottley just finished his underwhelming sparatic/disappointing Amazing Spider-Man run - I had very low expectations for this book. Still, my first impulse of Cates/Ottley sounding like a winning combination was the correct thought. Cates, once again, does a fresh take on a character that's just finished a spectacular run (Immortal Hulk) where another author took a fresh stab at the character. I don't want to spoil anything, but the 'armor' is explained, and justified and now I get it. It's all good...

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
