 4 pages in, I wanted to stop reading this book. Cliché after cliché... Crooks that turn on each other book? Sorta. This is not a caper book but a monster in the woods book? Sorta. This is all that plus random stereotype inherits random piece of land that might be random horror trope? Yep sure is. But it is written by Kyle Starks of many a good to great comics. And the artwork has a lowkey Paul Popeishness that I decided to keep going. And you know what? I loved it by the end. This is pretty much the kitchen sink of horror tropes mixed together and blended into something unique. A nice thick milkshake of genre's starring a cattle farm, some crooks, some ghosts, some inheritors, the Facts of Life VHS boxset, a poltergeist, some alien lights, and the horned man. Can't wait for #2. I added it to my subscription and bought it! You should too. I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
