Immortal Hulk Threshing Place #1

$4.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Jeff Lemire
(A/CA) Michael Del Mundo
TWO OF COMICS' MOST IMAGINATIVE TALENTS UNITE FOR A HULK TALE LIKE NONE OTHER! There's a monster raging in America's heartland - and it's not the Hulk. When a young girl goes missing on a Kansas farm, Bruce Banner gets the itch - the one that tells him gamma is on the loose. But this town doesn't take kindly to strangers - especially the big, green, violent kind. Can the Hulk save a child before it's too late, or is he about to take the blame for another massacre? Rated T+
Date Available: 04/29/2020
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Yes, it's written by Jeff Lemire instead of Al Ewing.
Yes, it's drawn/painted by Mike Del Mundo which means 62% of you will hate how it looks instead of bathing in the stylization.

Neither of those things disqualifies this from being a brutal and worthy addition to the Immortal Hulk line of stomach discomfort causing products. Del Mundo's unique take is exactly what lets this pair show the Hulk as a full on murder machine. If Lemire was paid $600.00 per exploded head, he made at LEAST $3600.00 for this book. That easily gives it the most heads popped by the Hulk (in panel) in a single issue. Revenge is a dish best served popped, I guess, and revenge is the order of the day.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
