BONUS REVIEW by SHANNA BERRY

WHOA! Okay, let’s catch our breath after this one. So much is thrown at you in this issue! Can I just say that Mark Waid is insane?! We finish up the Orian confrontation and finally get some clarification with Bette’s big secret, which is my ONLY complain of the book. Last issue ended with us wondering what the true secret is, and we find in this issue that it’s exactly what we learned last issue with a small twist. Slightly perturbed by the lack of importance of the big reveal, and for a moment I thought, “Man, Waid must be slacking because this really seems unoriginal” and them BAM! Two page spread with events that come out of no-where! From that page on, hold onto your knickers, it’s a suspenseful ride! That’s what I get for underestimating the King! If you aren’t reading this title I must ask: do you even like comics?

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
