It's not altogether difficult to see when a creative team has been working on something for a really long time before the first issue even shows up. Much like a mash-up of Monstress, Seven to Eternity, and Princess Mononoke, this book is an exceptional example of world building. It feels very dense, but it reads like it's really simplistic. It's a genre that would not necessarily rank among my favorites, yet i still thought it was engaging. Highly recommended for fans of Monstress, middle aged Ninja Scroll lovers, and anybody that can spell Miyazaki without the assistance of the internet. I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
