 Hey it's another fantasy coming of age comic! But this one is by Wes Craig! One of my favorite "non-superhero" artists. Heck, he's one of my favorite artists right now period. Anyway... Kaya is our magic? armor armed hero ala Hellboy, tasked with protecting her snotty and spoiled little brother, the narrator of the story. Together they are last of their tribe searching for somewhere safe to live in the wastelands. In other words it is every 1980s Jim Henson, Goonies, kids adventure movie set in the land of Dungeons and Dragons. Nothing you have not read or seen before. Well except not by Wes Craig that is. So so pretty and well choreographed. Breathtaking at times. Give it a try. I did and my eyes and brain thanked me. I even went with cover B, a fantastic Jack Kirby inspired piece.
