BONUS REVIEW by Shawn

The often polarizing Tom King writes this no doubt polarizing love letter to romance comics. It's even divided up into three different tales like those old issues were, but all involving the same woman. The art and the writing make the book appear to be a simple homage to the long dead Heart Throbs genre, but there's something more going on underneath it all. Not that we find out in the first issue, it is King after all and we'll have to wait to see out if it's closer to Mister Miracle than it is to Heroes in Crisis. Consider this a recommendation based on what the series could be and not based on the first encounter alone, which is actually a thing that could apply to any relationship one has in life. Highly recommended for everyone except that homewrecking tramp that's just not good enough, and if you don't pay attention to it, I'll just cry my eyes out until I die.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
