Hey Kids! Doc Spurlock here (Most are unaware of the honorary doctorate I received because of the extensive work Shawnanigans Labs did on the Nanomolecular Pine Weasel Project) typing out loud that my favorite comic of the week was from 1952. The Mad #1 facsimile edition is a fascinating time capsule of sorts, as it illustrates how very, very different the Mad magazine of 70 years ago is to its current form. However, this comic book is far more of an EC comic than it is a standard humor rag. Featuring art by some titans of the form, this is a book that still holds up. Highly recommended for fans of Tales From the Crypt, Alfred E. Newman, and Wall-E. That was not a typo, I meant Wall-E.
