 An interesting take on superheroes, like Watchmen but if there were 6 Dr. Manhattan’s. Power Fantasy focuses on 6 individuals called The Atomic Family with powers comparable to a nuclear arsenal that have to be kept in check. They all agree to protect humanity, but unrest is brewing among their ranks. The story starts by dropping you into a philosophical discussion between two of the main characters, which is a bit confusing (if not interesting), then finishes strong with the introduction of the rest of the cast. The art is fantastic, and I’m definitely excited to see where the story goes. Perfect for fans of the Wicked and Divine, Kingdom Come, and subversive superhero stories that alter your perception of the genre. I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
