REVIEW by Brian Fisher
It's here! And to be honest I'm a little torn over this issue. This may be the single most important issue of any Marvel comic in years (if we're to believe that this was planned and plotted since before Avengers: Disassembled). But the first half of the issue is annoying "Bendis-babble," with not much action and some rediculous story contrivances to create "drama." The second half, however is one payoff after another after another. Many characters, most of whom you'd never think could be Skrulls, are revealed as such (and, sure they appear at first to be odd choices, but once they're revealed it actually makes a lot of sense). Many a catastrophy follows and you find yourself actually asking yourself how the hell the heroes are going to get out of this mess. Despite a slow start to the issue, there actually is payoff, which is odd for a first issue nowadays.
