Embrace change. With these two words the Skrull Empire declares their intentions to the entire Marvel Universe. Embrace change. With these two words thousands and thousands of comic fans who have declared Secret Invasion the comic book blockbuster of the summer brace themselves for the shocking changes that are about to happen to their favorite characters and institutions. Embrace change, True Believer, because change is coming!
REVIEW by Brian Fisher

Now THIS is more like it. There’s actually story progression in this issue, and, if you go back and review, it makes the fourth issue much better as well. While last issue felt like it was spinning its wheels, it was just setting up the great action for the fifth issue. The tides turn on the Skrulls as an integral link in their chain of invasion breaks free. Definitely the best and most action packed issue of the series so far, absolutely redeeming itself after the last issue’s lackluster performance.
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
