Spread wraps up its second arc with this issue. It's a doozy, with all of the oddball nastiness you'd expect from Jordan and Strahm. It also suffers from an almost pervasive sense of hope. How am I supposed to feel when I'm rooting for children to be saved, or for a lead character to not be bisected while reveling in seeing a madman's hands mangled, a kid slice the Achilles tendons of a slaver so his own dog can tear his throat out, and cheering while a baby is thrown around like a football? So many mixed emotions...I suppose you get that in the best of books. A superb wrap up to another great story, and my book of the week.
