Dark Horse is taking over the all ages Star Wars market from IDW, and their first offering is a spotty one at best. Set during the Clone Wars, Anakin and Obi-Wan must rescue a few senators. If that sounds familiar, you're not wrong. This particular story has some fairly unclear visual storytelling involving a wookie's teddy bear, an interaction between Obi-Wan and General Grevious that the clone wars worked hard to avoid because it would minimize their interaction in ROTS. The usually reliable SW favorite Lucas Marangon (Tag And Bink Are Dead) doesn't get to utilize the humor that made his style so successful in previous work.

I really don't want to seem like I'm ripping into a kids comic, but IDW had clear, engaging stories throughout their Star Wars Adventures runs. This comes up short against them.

I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams
