Star Wars #5 (2015)

$3.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Jason Aaron (A/CA) John Cassaday
THE GREATEST SPACE ADVENTURE OF ALL TIME CONTINUES!
As Luke goes home in search of the truth about his late mentor...
...Leia takes Han on a secret mission of vital importance to the Rebellion.
Unfortunately, they both run into some unfriendly encounters.

Date Available: 05/20/2015
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

The Good- This issue looks much better than #4. The last page in particular is sharp sharp sharp.

The Bad-There's another thing taken from the future, making the event in the future less likely to work. Enjoy seeing rebels fly a stolen Imperial Shuttle? You'll get that and more!

The Ugly-In addition to stealing from Return of the Jedi, Jason Aaron is now stealing from Star Trek as well. There's a scene stolen from the end of 'Wrath of Khan' in a nebula that is practically called 'Mutara Nebula, you know, that nebula from ST II!' It grinds my gears.

What works best is Boba Fett, doing cool ( mean=cool, right?) bounty hunter stuff that makes him look like he knows what he's doing, and Luke being confused about his purpose making him look like he doesn't. Luckily, that makes up about half the book.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
