BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

The 'era' specials have been the weakest link for the AOR series. Compared to the single character issues, they've been a waste. There's a LOT of waste in the Age of Resistance special.

Waste of space by having three 8 page stories, but we've been through that twice already.

Waste of Elsa Charretier putting beautiful pages together of...Admiral Holdo, who gets to dye her hair in the story. She also does more things with space ships that simply would have been done before if they would work in the Star Wars universe. You could just as easily slap Battlestar Galactica on the cover if you aren't going to fit with what already exists.

Lastly, there's a waste of a perfectly good droid in the BB-8 section. We've seen robot rebellion in the Star Wars universe. We've seen the Empire, I mean, First Order deal with droids. They've never tortured them. They're machines. You wipe them and send them back out. Entire story premise based on a fallacy presented as fact?...check. Where have we seen that before? In 2017?

If you'd like to see an old sci-fi property rebuilt from the ground up, be sure to check out the new Battlestar Galactica (2004). No one brings Dirk Benedict in to have him tell you that Daggit and Imperious Leader are the same character to connect the show to 1978. Or to the A-Team.
