PRELUDE TO WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS: 'RESTORATION'
Returned to the fold after his rebellion against the EMPEROR, DARTH VADER faces the horrors of reconstruction in the secret laboratories of CORUSCANT.
As he blacks out under the knife, does he still dream of revenge against his master? Or do his thoughts drift towards his son - and the friends who make LUKE SKYWALKER so vulnerable?
Don't miss this next critical new chapter in Vader's ongoing evolution - featuring the revelation of the first time the Dark Lord learned the name HAN SOLO! Rated T

GET ON MY LAWN ALERT!

As the last 'War Of The Bounty Hunters' prelude issues, Darth Vader #12 finds regular series artist Raffaele Ienco no where to be seen. Fill in artist, eh? Uh oh.

Greg Pak isn't about to let a major crossover derail his excellent work, and guest artist Guiu Vilanova fills in nicely. He has a dark, coarse, rough style (it does not get everywhere) that I'm not 100% sure isn't just hiding the use of full photo reference. However he's drawing his heavily shadowed work, its a fine compliment to the story, which finds that Vader has had it in for Han ever since the destruction of the first Death Star. The reasoning is plausible, the flashback adventure to Han being hunted by Vader doesn't reuse something that happened in the movies.

Now, as politely as possible,
PLEASE MAKE YOUR LICENSED BOOKS NOT REPEAT THINGS THAT ALREADY HAPPENED, SAY THINGS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN SAID, OR WORSE, BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN HERE. THIS IS HOW TO DO THAT. SEE THIS? DO THIS.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
