With the dynamic team of Connor and Palmiotti at the helm, of all the "Oops, New 52 wasn't really all that great so we're going to screw with continuity again!" books coming out, this title seemed to have the most potential. Unfortunately, it fails to deliver. The wit and wisdom that we have come to expect from the pair is there and no one can deny that Emanuela Lupacchin's art is very good but it lacks a purpose. I think the books major failing lies in a line from page 3, "You're like a Big Orange Supergirl." Starfire has been reduced to her core concept and all the fascinating history is gone. What we are left with is a little alien girl lost on earth discovering what it's like to be human. Even the full blown sexuality of George Perez's original concept has been lost and replaced with a girl next door cute sexy that doesn't do the character justice. What we are left with is a sort of Betty/Veronica meets Brother From Another Planet relationship tale and it's not enough.
