What should feel like a fun, finite Superman/Dr. Fate team up wears out its welcome, and then some. It's a shame, because we get a less beefy Kevin Maguire Superman. Maguire only draws a chunk of the issue though. There's also a distinct lack of memorable dialogue that gives the book a 'Bendis with seven months left to go at Marvel' feel.
Big anniversary issue coming with #25, so hopefully he'll have a quick return to form.
